This is the most important term on this page.
Everything on this site is general education. It is not medical advice, it is not a diagnosis, and it is not a treatment plan. Reading it does not make Dr. Hashmi your physician, and no doctor and patient relationship is created by using this site, subscribing to the email, watching a video, downloading a guide, or sending a message.
Health information is general by nature and cannot account for your history, your medications, your labs, or your circumstances. Talk to your own physician before changing your diet, your medications, your supplements, or your treatment. Never delay or avoid getting medical care because of something you read here.

Medicine changes. Content that was accurate when published may be out of date by the time you read it, and nothing here is guaranteed to reflect the current state of the evidence.
Do not send personal health information
Do not send lab results, medical records, imaging, medication lists, or details of your own condition through any form on this site. Messages sent here are not protected health information under HIPAA and cannot be answered with personal medical advice.
What you may and may not do
The content on this site, including text, design, graphics, logos, and the arrangement of it, is owned by Sean Hashmi, MD or used with permission, and is protected by copyright and trademark law.
You may read the site, print or save pages for your own personal, non-commercial use, and share links to it freely. Sharing a link is always welcome.
You may not republish substantial portions of the content, sell or license it, use it to train a machine learning model, present it as your own work, remove copyright or credit notices, use the name or logo in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation, or use the site for anything unlawful.
The leaf mark and the SELF Principle name belong to Self Principle Inc, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and are used here under permission.
Things you send in
If you send a message, an inquiry, or a suggestion, you keep ownership of it, but you give permission to read it, store it, and respond to it. Do not send anything confidential and do not send anything you do not have the right to send. Unsolicited ideas may be similar to things already being worked on, and sending one creates no obligation and no expectation of payment.
Third party sites and services
This site links to and embeds content from other services, including YouTube and SELF Principle. Those services are not controlled here and their content is not endorsed by linking to it. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.

The site is provided as it is. It may contain errors, it may be unavailable, and it is offered without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability, to the fullest extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sean Hashmi, MD is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of this site or your reliance on anything in it. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the smallest amount the law permits.

Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of laws rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in the State of California, and you agree to that venue.
